Course Development Intern: Fall 2025
Conservation Strategy Fund is seeking a Course Development Intern to join our dynamic training team and play a key role in growing our virtual learning platform, www.numbersfornature.org. This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate student seeking a fall internship with a stipend that will provide hands-on experience working at the intersection of conservation and sustainable development. At the end of the three month internship, the intern will have gained valuable knowledge about conservation economics and finance, skills in project management and course facilitation, as well as access to a network of environmental professionals from all over the world.
The Course Development Intern will work directly with CSF’s global training team to support Conservation Strategy Fund’s capacity-building effort through our global Numbers for Nature Training Institute (N4N), CSF's global training arm. With assistance from the training team and a CSF instructor, they will independently build a new virtual self-paced course for the N4N website, which is an opportunity to grow their own environmental economics knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop a new virtual self-paced course on the Numbers for Nature website, including working with the training team and instructor to develop the course structure, draft course content, record and edit video lectures, and build the course on the N4N learning platform.
- Assist with the management of the Numbers for Nature Training Institute website.
- Draft marketing materials, such as social media posts, as needed.
- Communication and administrative tasks, such as proofreading and editing articles, may be expected.
Important Skills
- Academic background or interest in environmental conservation, environmental economics, sustainable development, or related fields.
- Basic understanding of microeconomic principles (100 level course or similar experience).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Basic video editing or graphic design skills - Canva experience appreciated.
- Quick learning ability with new platforms and online applications.
- Experience with website and platform development, management, and technical support.
- Proficient with both Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
- Independent work ethic and ability to manage own time effectively to meet key deadlines.
Additional Desired Skills
- Teaching and/or curriculum development experience
- Intercultural competence and comfort with communicating with international audiences
- Spanish language skills (professional or fluent)
Internship Dates: Estimated September 8 to December 5, 2025 (dates flexible)
Expected Time Commitment: 15 hrs/week
Stipend: CSF will provide a stipend of USD 750 per month
Format: This is a remote internship which can be done from anywhere in the world, however, overlap with US East Coast working hours is required.
