Bolivia faces significant environmental challenges, including deforestation, biodiversity loss, and increasing threats from climate change. In response, the European Union, through the Embassy of Sweden, has allocated funding to support environmental protection and climate action in the country. The Team Europe Initiative brings together 17 partners implementing 12 projects across key regions such as the Chaco, Chiquitanía, Pantanal, and Amazon. To maximize impact and avoid duplication of efforts, a multi-stakeholder platform has been established to promote integration and policy advocacy. A crucial component of this initiative is an effective communication strategy to raise public awareness about Bolivia’s environmental issues and showcase successful solutions.

Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) has been invited to develop a series of inspirational successful stories and communication materials based on the strategy developed by the Embassy of Sweden. CSF will facilitate collaboration among NGOs ensuring broad visibility and engagement for the Team Europe Initiative.

CSF will deliver two main products:

  • Inspirational videos: These will highlight success stories from Team Europe partners, each focused on one of the platform’s thematic pillars. These will be developed through mapping, fieldworks, interviews, and collaborative content creation with all partners.
  • Communicators’ Workshop: It will facilitate the communication responsibilities and key messages for all partners; strengthen the network of communicators; foster collaboration and best practices; and develop a consensus proposal for a Pilot Environmental Data Observatory.

Following the completion of CSF’s assignment, the communication materials and strengthened partner network are expected to continue amplifying the impact of the Team Europe Initiative. The inspirational stories and established communication channels will serve as ongoing tools for advocacy, fundraising, and public engagement. The platform’s increased visibility and collaborative spirit should foster new partnerships, policy influence, and sustained action on environmental issues in Bolivia.

The overarching goal is to contribute to the conservation of Bolivia’s unique ecosystems, promote sustainable resource management, and strengthen environmental governance. By raising awareness and building a unified narrative around conservation efforts, the project aims to support long-term environmental resilience, community empowerment, and sustainable development in Bolivia.
