Joe joined CSF as a GIS Research Analyst in 2022. He has a master's degree in Geography from the University of Denver and a bachelor's degree is Sustainability Science and Economics from Furman University. Joe has worked on a wide variety of projects including an assessment of gentrification in Greenville County, South Carolina, ecosystem service valuation of park lands in Virginia, environmental amenity valuation in northwest South Carolina, forest change monitoring in Cambodia and Indonesia, and more. He has partnered with various local non-profits in Colorado and South Carolina, the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, and international conservation groups. In his free time, Joe can be found backpacking in the areas he seeks to protect with his four-legged friend, Willie.
