Dr. Rusdian Lubis is a scholar and development professional with a distinguished career in academia, international institutions, and corporate leadership. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Oregon State University, with further training at the University of Sydney, the Royal Institute of Public Administration (UK), and Harvard Kennedy School.

He has served as Director of the Center for Environmental Studies at Hasanuddin University, Senior Environmental Specialist at the World Bank, Washington, D.C., Director at PT Freeport Indonesia, and Chair of the Compliance Review Panel at the Asian Development Bank, Manila.

In his active retirement, Dr. Lubis lectures at several Indonesian universities and has authored six books. A seasoned traveler, he has visited 53 countries and holds a third-degree black belt in Aikido.
