CSF Signs Key Agreements to Strengthen Conservation and Environmental Justice in Peru

To strengthen inter-institutional coordination in favor of environmental protection, Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) Peru has signed two agreements designed to advance integrated solutions for conservation, environmental justice, and sustainable development in the country.

The first agreement, signed with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, will support technical and operational collaboration to improve the prevention and prosecution of environmental crimes. It will also enhance institutional capacities through the use of digital and economic tools that contribute to more effective strategies for defending natural heritage and combating destructive activities - such as gold mining.

The second agreement is an inter-institutional cooperation framework with the National Forest and Wildlife Service (SERFOR). Its purpose is to establish mechanisms for collaboration to promote, strengthen, and support activities and capacity-building efforts that highlight the value of forests and their ecosystem services. Through this agreement, both institutions commit to improving policies and strategies for the sustainable management of forest ecosystems and wild vegetation.

With these partnerships, CSF reaffirms its comprehensive approach, which combines evidence-based information with economic tools to promote nature conservation as a foundation for inclusive development and environmental governance. These efforts align with the existing collaboration with the Attorney General's Office, reinforcing CSF’s commitment to fostering alliances that ensure the protection of nature and the well-being of future generations.
