2017 Indonesia Marine Fellow

Mr. Paulangan’s research is entitled Identification and Development Strategy of Alternative Livelihoods in the Candidate of Marine Protected Area in Depapre Bay, Jayapura Regency, Papua. This project was supported by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies.

Mr. Paulangan is a lecturer and researcher at the Marine Science Program of Cenderawasih University, as well as a visiting lecturer at various universities in Jayapura. Mr. Paulangan holds a Bachelor of Marine Science from Hasanuddin University and a Master of Coastal and Marine Resource Management Program from Bogor Agricultural University. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at the Center For Coastal Marine Resources Studies at Bogor Agricultural University, focusing on coastal and marine management models in Depapre Bay Jayapura Regency, Papua Province.
