Kemi Kakonge-Ruyondo
Kemi supports the Finance for Nature course by developing self-paced learning materials, structuring the course, and building out the Numbers4Nature platform. Her work focuses on making conservation finance concepts clear, practical, and accessible to a global audience. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment, where she focused on financing Nature-based Solutions and ecosystem services, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning from the University of California, Davis. Her experience spans biodiversity finance, water management, and climate innovation, with a focus on bridging policy, finance, and implementation. Her work is shaped by a systems perspective grounded in both technical analysis and lived context. Now based in Washington, DC, Kemi enjoys long walks through Rock Creek Park and spending time with puzzles, drawn to the quiet satisfaction of working through complexity, piece by piece.
